Appearance:Purple brown (or blue black) powder. Insoluble in water, ethanol and acetone, soluble in benzene, slightly soluble in toluene, xylene, chloroform, nitrobenzene, o-chlorophenol, pyridine and tetrahydronaphthalene. It is blue in the alkaline solution of insurance powder and red purple in the acidic solution.

Synopsis: Reductive Violet 1 is isoviolet anthrone dichloride, and its trade name is reductive brilliant violet 2R and reductive Violet 1. The product is mainly used for dyeing cotton, hemp and viscose fibers and printing of fabrics. It can also be used for processing organic pigments and as plastic colorants. VAT Violet 1 is a very important product in vat dyes. Its dyed cotton has bright blue purple, high affinity, general levelness, good covering power to dead cotton, excellent fastness and light fastness up to grade 6. The fastness of other items is grade 4-5. It is often used in cotton dyeing and direct printing, and has good affinity and levelness for silk, which is favored by the market.
